A real estate listing video in an editing timeline

Real estate video editing prices in 2026: published per-video rates, monthly plans, what drives the cost, and how to compare editors without paying for the wrong thing.

If you already film your listings, or your photographer shoots video for you, editing is where the money goes. The short answer: published per-video rates from online editing services start at around $35–$80 a video, with extra charges for longer cuts and social versions. A monthly plan works out cheaper per video if you post regularly. Ours is 12 reels for $400 a month, about $33 a reel.

This guide covers what you actually pay for, how per-video and monthly pricing compare, and what to check before you hand over your footage.

These are the prices editing services publish themselves. Most charge per video, with add-ons for length, file size and extra formats.

Per video or a monthly plan?

Per-video pricing makes sense if you only need a film for the occasional listing. If you post on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube every week, a monthly plan is usually cheaper and more consistent.

Take twelve vertical reels a month, which is enough to post three times a week. At Styldod's published $60 a reel, that's $720 a month before any extras. On our plan it's $400. The bigger difference is consistency: on a monthly plan the same editor learns your brand, so every reel uses the same fonts, colours, titles and pacing without you re-briefing each time.

What drives the price of an edit

  • Length: a 30-second reel is far less work than a three-minute listing film or a ten-minute YouTube tour.
  • Amount of footage: more raw clips means more time choosing the best moments.
  • Colour grading: matching interior, exterior and drone shots so the home looks consistent and true to life.
  • Music: properly licensed tracks, so your video isn't muted or taken down on Instagram or YouTube.
  • Branding: titles, lower thirds, end cards and your logo, set up once and reused.
  • Captions: most people watch social video with the sound off, so captions matter.
  • Formats: a horizontal film plus vertical and square cuts for each platform.
  • Revisions and turnaround: how many rounds of changes are included, and how fast you need it back.

What's included on our plan

Every edit includes colour grading, licensed music, branded titles and end cards, captions and subtitles, horizontal, vertical and square exports, delivery up to 4K, a saved brand style for repeat edits and revision rounds agreed upfront. It's editing only: you or your photographer film, we edit. Longer listing films, YouTube tours and one-off projects are quoted separately. You can see recent edits on our real estate video editing page.

Most listing videos fail in the edit, not the shoot.

How to compare editors

  • Ask for real estate edits they've done, not general showreels, and watch them on your phone.
  • Check whether music is licensed for social platforms, not just "royalty-free".
  • Ask how many revision rounds are included and what happens after that.
  • Confirm the formats you get: vertical, square and horizontal, or one version only.
  • Ask whether they keep your brand style, so you don't have to re-explain it every time.
  • Agree the turnaround in writing, especially for new listings that need to go live fast.
