How to turn one listing shootinto a month of content

By Saad Ali · 1 November 2026 · 6 min read

Three vertical reels cut from one listing shoot

A single afternoon of footage can feed your Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and newsletter for weeks. Here is the plan we use to get the most out of every listing shoot.

Most agents treat a listing shoot as one deliverable: a video for the listing page and a post announcing it. That leaves most of the footage unused. With a little planning before the shoot and a smart edit afterwards, one afternoon can give you a month of posts across every channel.

Before the shoot: plan for the edit

  • Ask your videographer, or yourself if you film on a phone, to capture both horizontal and vertical shots of the best rooms and views.
  • Film a few seconds of you on camera: arriving, opening the door, pointing out the feature you love most.
  • Capture details that work as standalone clips: the kitchen finish, the view at golden hour, the walk onto the terrace.
  • If you have a drone, film the approach and the setting, not just the roof.

The edit: one shoot, many cuts

From one well-planned shoot, an editor can deliver a full set of content without any extra filming:

  • A 60 to 90 second listing film for your website, YouTube and the property portals.
  • Three to five vertical reels, each built around one hook: the view, the kitchen, the terrace, the neighbourhood.
  • A just listed teaser, a price reveal and a last chance cut for later in the campaign.
  • A short talking-head clip of you explaining why the home is special.
  • Still frames for stories, carousels and your newsletter.

A simple four-week posting plan

Week one announces the listing with the teaser and the full film. Week two runs the room-by-room reels. Week three focuses on the lifestyle and the neighbourhood. Week four is your open house, price update or under offer post. The same footage, sequenced so each post feels new.

Consistency wins on social. One good shoot, edited properly, is how busy agents post every week without filming every week.

Keep it on brand every time

Use the same fonts, colours, captions and end card on every video so your listings are instantly recognisable in a feed. Set it up once with your editor and apply it to every edit. If you post regularly, a monthly editing plan is usually cheaper and faster than booking edits one at a time. See our engagements and our real estate video editing service.
